We are seeking a skilled Splunk / Observability Subject Matter Expert (SME) to drive our enterprise-level observability initiatives. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with Splunk Observability Cloud, and OpenTelemetry, and a strong background in logging, monitoring, and application performance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Splunk Observability Cloud solutions for enterprise environments.
- Utilize Splunk Observability Cloud and OpenTelemetry to monitor and analyze application performance, synthetic monitoring, and real user monitoring (RUM).
- Provide expertise in logging, monitoring, and application performance management (APM) to optimize infrastructure and application performance.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure effective implementation and integration of observability tools across various systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to observability and performance, leveraging strong problem-solving skills.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality solutions on time.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Splunk Observability Cloud and OpenTelemetry.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-level implementation of Splunk Observability Cloud.
- Familiarity with logging, monitoring, APM, synthetic monitoring, and RUM.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and distributed systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing observability solutions for infrastructure and applications.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Splunk O11y Cloud Certified Metrics User.
