Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-grade architecture solutions across insurance domains (P&C or Life).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and product owners to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Lead architecture initiatives for digital transformation, including modernization, cloud migration, and API strategy.
• Ensure solutions meet performance, security, scalability, and compliance requirements.
• Provide architectural guidance across platforms, data, integrations, and infrastructure.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and frameworks aligned with business goals.
• Create architectural artifacts including diagrams, solution blueprints, and documentation.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes impacting the insurance sector.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 12+ years of IT experience, with 4+ years as a Solution Architect within the insurance domain.
• Deep understanding of insurance business processes: underwriting, claims, policy lifecycle, reinsurance, and customer servicing.
• Hands-on experience with insurance platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or similar.
• Strong expertise in enterprise integration (SOAP/REST APIs, ESBs), microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with data architecture, insurance analytics, and regulatory compliance (e.g., NAIC, GDPR).
• Knowledge of digital insurance technologies such as chatbots, telematics, AI/ML, and customer self-service portals.
• TOGAF or other enterprise architecture certifications preferred.
