Master s degree in a related Science or Engineering field and five years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience
Expert-level knowledge and experience in Linux
Extensive experience working with imperative and object-oriented programming languages such as C, C++ and Fortran; interpreted programming languages such as Perl and Python; and software development tools including Atlassian (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket and associated plugins) and Gitlab, in secure configurations where user access across projects must be enforced
Extensive experience setting up and working with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools
Broad expertise or unique knowledge in supporting software development infrastructure for multiple software development teams, including experience establishing and managing code repositories for production software development efforts
Proven ability to successfully lead software development teams and associated activities
Extensive experience troubleshooting and working with software compilers and linked libraries, as well as troubleshooting hardware, software and networking failures
A record of expertise through publication and representation within organizations in the field
