Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a software engineering team of 4–6+ members.
  • Manage Agile/Scrum development processes and ensure timely delivery of platform features.
  • Oversee end-to-end SDLC activities, including design, development, testing, deployment, and release management.
  • Coordinate work across distributed or n-tier systems with multiple integration points.
  • Ensure adherence to change control processes and quality/regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with product, QA, security, and infrastructure teams to align priorities and resolve issues.
  • Provide technical guidance in Java/Spring Boot development and AWS best practices.
  • Communicate status, risks, and progress to stakeholders and leadership.

 

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in software engineering or project management roles.
  • At least 3 years of people-management experience leading engineering teams.
  • Proven success managing Agile/Scrum software projects in Java/Spring Boot environments.
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and cloud-based environments.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, change control, and release management.
  • Experience managing distributed systems or platforms with multiple integration points.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • PMP or Scrum Master certification preferred.

 

Preferred Experience & Attributes
  • Experience with medical device, digital health, or regulated software (SaMD).
  • Familiarity with regulated or quality-controlled frameworks (FDA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 13485, HIPAA).
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
