Job Description

Develop Augmented and Virtual Reality Applications to promote client products or improve product development efficiency.

Develop, test, and integrate scripts in C#/C++ to support VR/AR projects.

Work alongside the Immersive Technology Group to support new VR/AR projects.

Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects. May work with classified documents which requires thorough knowledge of DoD procedures for the proper usage and safeguarding of classified information.

Perform software engineering activities leveraging agile practices using the latest open source software development and engineering tools.

Maintain and update required records and reports.

Present and resolve any technical program difficulties or discrepancies with the team, customers, and subcontractors in a timely manner.

Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the SBU/SSU and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Perform other duties as necessary.

What You’ll Need

BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 5 or more years related experience.

Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of related experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

5+ years experience building and shipping Unity/Unreal applications preferred.

2+ years experience building and shipping Unity/Unreal AR/VR applications preferred.

Proficiency with one or more software programming languages, such as: C#, C++, Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.

Proficiency with common software development tasks, such as: coding, unit testing, debugging, configuration management, etc.

Experience with agile software development methodologies, e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFE, etc.

Experience coding GPU shaders considered a plus.

Experience with web application frameworks, such as Django, Flask, AngularJS, Node.js, etc. considered a plus.

Experience with databases and data storage technologies including Relational databases, NoSQL databases, columnar databases, key/value stores, etc. considered a plus.

Passion for creativity, problem-solving, and troubleshooting.

A strong desire to learn and excellent work ethic.

Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team and solo environment.
