Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute detailed and comprehensive test plans and test cases for cloud-based data solutions
• Write and execute complex SQL queries (Snowsql, PostgreSQL) to validate large volumes of structured and semi-structured data (e.g., JSON)
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing of data pipelines and data warehousing solutions
• Validate data transformations and ensure data integrity within Snowflake and relational databases
• Test RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman; validate request/response payloads, authentication, and error handling
• Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and product owners to understand requirements and build effective test strategies
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using Python for data validation and API testing
• Leverage tools such as JMeter for performance testing and Kafka for validating event streams
• Work within Agile/Scrum methodologies, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups
• Utilize Jira and Confluence for test documentation, defect tracking, and knowledge sharing
• Leverage monitoring and logging tools such as Kibana and Swagger to troubleshoot issues and validate test coverage
• Support production validation and release cycles in banking or finance-related projects

Required Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in software testing, particularly data validation and API testing
• Strong expertise in SQL (PostgreSQL, Snowsql) and working with JSON and semi-structured data
• 4+ years of hands-on experience testing relational databases and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in Python programming for test automation
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and experience testing with Postman
• Experience in banking or finance industry (2+ years preferred)
• Familiarity with tools and technologies such as JMeter, PgAdmin, GitLab, Kafka, Jira, Confluence, Swagger, Kibana, and AWS
• Programming experience in one or more of the following: Postgresql, Snowsql, Go
