We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Platform Engineer with 8+ years of experience in database engineering, cloud engineering, or data platform administration. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience administering, configuring, securing, and optimizing enterprise Snowflake environments.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in database engineering, cloud engineering, or data platform administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake platform administration, architecture, configuration, and maintenance.
- Expertise in Snowflake performance tuning, virtual warehouse management, resource optimization, security, and access controls.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Experience with AWS cloud services and modern data platforms.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, and/or SQL scripting for automation.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
- Knowledge of backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and platform resiliency.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize enterprise Snowflake environments.
- Manage platform configuration, user access, security, and performance.
- Automate administrative tasks and platform operations.
- Support AWS integrations, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
- Troubleshoot platform issues and implement monitoring and recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with cloud, DevOps, security, and data engineering teams.
Important: Candidates must have hands-on Snowflake platform administration and engineering experience, not just SQL querying or data pipeline development.
