Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for Smart Meter applications.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and UAT testing.
• Validate APIs, services, map layers, and system workflows through manual and automated test cases.
• Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure consistent performance.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to align testing with project requirements.
• Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as JIRA or HP ALM.
• Conduct root cause analysis and participate in defect triage meetings.
• Ensure adherence to QA best practices, testing standards, and utility industry regulations.
• Prepare and present test progress reports, defect metrics, and quality insights to stakeholders.
• Support automation initiatives, particularly for APIs and repetitive workflows.
• Utilize Tosca or similar automation tools to enhance testing efficiency.
• Work alongside automation teams while maintaining focus on manual testing activities.

Required Technical & Functional Skills

• Strong knowledge of Utility Operations, Smart Metering, and ADMS environments.
• Hands-on experience with test planning, execution, and test documentation.
• Proficiency in manual testing techniques for API, UI, services, and system workflows.
• Experience with defect management tools (JIRA, HP ALM, etc.).
• Understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform testing scenarios.
• Exposure to automation tools like Tosca (preferred).
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
