Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Define and implement Customer/User Journeys (CUJs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Error Budgets based on Non-Functional Requirements.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure using Terraform, Docker, and GitHub.
  • Create and maintain automation scripts and playbooks using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible.
  • Develop and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes.
  • Design and implement automated workflows and CI/CD pipelines to streamline operations and application delivery.
  • Reduce manual toil through effective automation, tooling, and process improvements.
  • Monitor and enhance system reliability, availability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to improve observability, incident response, and release processes.
  • Use SCM tools like Git, GitHub, and SonarQube for code versioning, code quality, and collaboration.
  • Ensure alignment with ITSM processes and contribute to incident, problem, and change management workflows.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, and tools like Ansible.
  • Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
  • Sound understanding of SRE principles, observability (SLOs, SLIs, error budgets), and production readiness practices.
  • Experience in designing and implementing automated operational workflows.
  • Familiarity with Source Control Management (SCM) and DevOps tools (Git, GitHub, SonarQube).
  • Basic understanding of ITSM processes (incident, change, problem management).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.

 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in building high-availability systems and reducing operational overhead in cloud-native environments.
  • Exposure to monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver).
  • Background in supporting SDLC environments and contributing to DevOps transformations.
