Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical architecture and design of Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementations, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Mobile Studio, Advertising Studio, and more.
  • Design, build, and implement marketing automation workflows that align with business goals.
  • Develop and optimize data integrations between SFMC and other platforms (e.g., CRM systems, Data Lakes, or third-party tools).
  • Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of SFMC platforms, including campaign execution, data flow, and automation processes.
  • Ensure optimal data hygiene and segmentation practices to enable more effective targeting and reporting.
  • Build, test, and deploy scalable marketing automation solutions including email campaigns, customer journeys, landing pages, and SMS/MMS messaging.
  • Implement sophisticated segmentation, dynamic content, and personalization strategies to improve customer engagement.
  • Automate campaign workflows and customer journeys to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Collaborate with data teams to define, extract, and transform data for use within SFMC.
  • Set up and manage data extensions, custom objects, and integrations to optimize the flow of data into SFMC.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for SFMC workflows, integrations, and processes.
 
Qualifications
  • Technical Skills

    • Extensive experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Mobile Studio, and Advertising Studio.
    • Proficiency in SQL, AMPscript, and SSJS (Server-Side JavaScript) for custom scripting and data manipulation.
    • Knowledge of data integrations (APIs, FTP, and SFTP) with external systems (CRM, eCommerce, etc.).
    • Strong understanding of email deliverability, segmentation, and personalization techniques.
    • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for email and landing page development.
    • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
    • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
    • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.g., Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Consultant) are highly preferred.

 

  • Experience

    • 5+ years of experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar marketing automation platforms.
    • 3+ years of experience leading or managing technical teams in a marketing technology or software engineering environment.
    • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and optimizing marketing automation solutions at scale.
    • Proven track record of successful SFMC projects, particularly in large, complex environments.
