Job Description

Our client is looking for a talented Service Portal Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our service portal, ensuring an optimal user experience for our customers and internal stakeholders. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance portal functionality, streamline processes, and deliver effective solutions that meet business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new features and enhancements for the service portal, ensuring it meets user requirements and aligns with business objectives.
  • Focus on optimizing the user experience by implementing best practices in UI design and usability, ensuring a seamless interaction for users.
  • Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and IT teams to gather requirements, identify improvements, and deliver effective solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support for the service portal, addressing user inquiries and resolving technical issues promptly.
  • Conduct thorough testing of portal functionalities, ensuring all features work as intended and meet quality standards before deployment.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for portal features, workflows, and technical specifications to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.
  • Monitor portal performance and user engagement metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements accordingly.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in service portal development, preferably within IT service management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).
  • Proficiency in web developmenttechnologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs. 
  • Familiarity with responsive design and front-end frameworks is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • A strong focus on user experience and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
