Core Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Aruba-based wireless networks, including access points, controllers, and other wireless infrastructure components across multiple sites.
• Work with internal teams and third-party vendors (software and systems engineering) to gather technical requirements and implement wireless solutions that meet business needs.
• Provide ongoing support for wireless network incidents and service requests, ensuring quick and effective resolution.
• Resolve wireless network issues, conduct system audits, identify performance trends, and implement network improvements for better security, availability, and resiliency.
• Manage and escalate complex issues to vendors and senior management for timely resolution. Create and track problem tickets with vendors to ensure resolution.
• Contribute to strategic network planning and design cost-effective wireless network solutions following industry best practices.
• Lead RF planning (using Aruba AirWatch), configure and manage wireless environments, and ensure compliance with wireless standards.
• Configure and manage Aruba ClearPass for secure wireless access, implement 802.1X protocols, and support wireless authentication solutions.
• Monitor network availability, throughput, and latency, and proactively address any performance issues to prevent future problems.
• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation for wireless network designs, configurations, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in network engineering, with at least 5 years focused on wireless networking, specifically Aruba technologies.
• Strong experience with Aruba access points, controllers, and lifecycle management.
• Expertise in RF planning using Aruba AirWatch and other tools.
• Proficient in Aruba ClearPass configuration, 802.1X, client certificates, and wireless security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with wireless configurations, including SSID on-ramping and standards compliance.
• Experience with VMware VeloCloud, NSX, and load balancing technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud networking in Azure, including deployment and management of network resources.
• Strong focus on network security, availability, and performance optimization across all network layers.
• Experience in automating network configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting tasks using network automation tools.
• Hands-on knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, and Palo Alto networks (including Panorama configuration, Global Protect, and IPSEC).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to address technical issues effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
