Senior Software Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Integration Services team. The ideal candidate will have strong full-stack development experience, with equal focus on backend and frontend technologies, and a proven track record of building scalable, cloud-native applications on AWS.

This role involves designing, developing, and supporting custom web applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom web applications using modern full-stack technologies.

• Build and enhance backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Camel.

• Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces using React and Angular.

• Design and implement cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services.

• Create, maintain, and optimize AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation templates and DevOps best practices.

• Develop and support serverless and event-driven architectures using AWS services.

• Participate in application architecture, technical design, code reviews, and performance optimization initiatives.

• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities across Java-based open-source frameworks and libraries.

• Collaborate closely with Integration Services, Product, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience (candidates with additional experience are welcome; minimum 3 years required).

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot development.

• Experience developing integration solutions using Apache Camel.

• Hands-on experience building frontend applications using React.

• Experience with Angular development.

• Strong understanding of full-stack development with approximately 50% backend and 50% frontend responsibilities.

• Experience building and deploying applications on AWS.

AWS Technical Requirements

Hands-on experience with:

• Amazon ECS

• Amazon S3

• Amazon SQS

• AWS Step Functions

• AWS Lambda (Serverless Implementations)

• AWS CloudFormation

• AWS database creation, migration, upgrades, and administration

• AWS DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microservices and distributed system architectures.

• Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration patterns.

• Experience implementing secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies and cloud-native application development.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
