Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior SCADA Systems Administrator to design, implement, and support enterprise SCADA systems for gas utility operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AVEVA Enterprise SCADA (OASyS DNA), SCADA operations, RTU/PLC communications, and real-time data management to ensure reliable and secure pipeline operations.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and support SCADA systems for gas utility operations.
  • Administer and maintain AVEVA Enterprise SCADA (formerly OASyS DNA).
  • Develop and maintain HMI displays, real-time databases, historical databases, and reporting solutions.
  • Configure, test, and troubleshoot communication between SCADA systems and field RTUs.
  • Troubleshoot SCADA software, servers, and communication issues.
  • Support Gas Control operations to ensure safe and reliable pipeline monitoring.
  • Configure wireless modems (Sierra Wireless and Digi) and maintain system documentation.
  • Build, configure, and maintain operational reports.
  • Collaborate with field technicians, IT teams, and operations to support SCADA enhancements and day-to-day operations.
Required Skills
  • Strong experience with AVEVA Enterprise SCADA (OASyS DNA).
  • In-depth knowledge of SCADA systems in gas utility environments.
  • Experience with HMI development, real-time database implementation, and historical database reporting.
  • Knowledge of gas measurement and metering systems.
  • Hands-on experience with RTU/PLC communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, BSAP).
  • Experience troubleshooting SCADA software, servers, and field communications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a small team environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience writing or modifying SQL queries and scripts.
  • Control room or gas control operations experience.
  • Experience working in regulated utility or industrial environments.
  • Experience developing and maintaining operational reports.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
