Senior Platform / DevOps Engineer

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate production Kubernetes clusters (self-managed or managed services such as EKS, AKS, GKE).
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Flux GitOps.
• Apply infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible) to automate provisioning and configuration.
• Build and maintain containerized applications and manage container registries.
• Develop self-service platforms and golden-path templates for developer adoption.
• Operate cloud workloads on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including networking, IAM, and cost optimization.
• Monitor system health using observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch) and distributed tracing.
• Implement service mesh solutions (Istio, Linkerd) and API gateway patterns.
• Collaborate in Agile teams, contributing to technical design, analysis, and problem-solving.
• Provide guidance and mentorship on DevOps best practices across teams.

Required Expertise & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes internals: workload scheduling, RBAC, network policies, Helm/Kustomize, Operators, cluster autoscaling.
• Proficient with DevOps tools: CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and containerization.
• 2+ years of experience operating workloads on cloud platforms.
• Solid understanding of observability and monitoring tools.
• Experience with service mesh technologies and API gateway patterns.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
