Job Description

Our Client is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with 10+ years of experience supporting large-scale Oracle environments, particularly in UNIX-based systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle RAC, GoldenGate, performance tuning, and disaster recovery solutions like Data Guard. Experience in financial institutions and on-call support is highly desired.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, maintain, and support large-scale Oracle databases in UNIX environments.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Oracle RAC clusters, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Perform Oracle upgrades, particularly to Oracle RAC 19c, with minimal downtime.
  • Configure and maintain Oracle GoldenGate, including multimaster replication setups and handling data drift.
  • Set up and support Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery and business continuity.
  • Conduct proactive performance tuning and optimization of Oracle databases and applications.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide pager duty support as required.
  • Develop and maintain shell and Perl scripts for automation and maintenance tasks.
  • Utilize tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), TOAD, and SQL Developer for monitoring, development, and troubleshooting.

 

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in large enterprise UNIX environments.
  • 5+ years managing and supporting Oracle RAC.
  • Proven experience with Oracle performance tuning and optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle upgrades, especially Oracle RAC 19c.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate, including multimaster configuration and data drift handling.
  • Experience with Oracle Data Guard setup and support.
  • Experience in financial services or banking environments (preferred).
  • Ability to provide reliable on-call support.
  • Proficiency in UNIX shell scripting and Perl.
  • Familiarity with standard Oracle tools like OEM, TOAD, and SQL Developer.
