A senior level Network Engineer to manage a Data Center Transformation Project to ensure the successful delivery of detailed solution designs based on client requirements and schedule for the account . The Individual should be passionate about technology, experienced in involving transformation/Migration Projects having wide infrastructure experiences.
Responsibilities
- Gathering and documenting existing client network and device information into a workbook that will be leveraged to develop the migration plan.
- Validate/audit end-to-end solution and ensure scope of solution meets contractual and SLA requirements (availability, performance, capacity)
- Be the primary point of contact to Service Delivery Executives or account delivery leads for PE engineering resources, delivery, and overall solution quality.
- Support FW & NW engineering in the development of the Engineering Work Order (EWO) & Firewall Changes.
- Entry Level experience with network engineering and architecture skills.
- Ability to support a team of network engineers and client accounts in the network transformation effort.
- Strong requirements gathering and documentation of network environments.
- Respond to requests for technical information from Lead Engineers.
Required Experience/Skills
- 5+ years in network engineering and documentation.
- CCNP required, CCIE desired, Networking Technology equivalent certification or equivalent network certification with minimum 5+ years’ experience in data center network infrastructures.
- Knowledge of networking hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Expert level capabilities within the Microsoft Office suite of tools, especially Excel and Visio.
- Knowledge of IP, including TCP, UDP, NATing, OSPF, and BGP.
- Knowledge of IOS stack layer 1, 2, 3.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies in the clients industry and ES’s technology direction
- Understand and maintain roadmaps for technologies in use at the account.
