Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Lead payment strategy, optimization, and operational execution across card-present and card-not-present transactions.
  • Collaborate with payment processors, acquirers, and card networks (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) to ensure seamless transaction flow and performance.
  • Drive improvements in authorization rates, settlement efficiency, and payment reliability.
  • Partner with fraud and risk teams to design and optimize fraud detection rules and mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee chargeback management processes and dispute resolution workflows.
  • Evaluate and implement payment technologies including tokenization, 3DS authentication, and fraud prevention tools.
  • Work closely with merchants, franchisees, and operations teams in a multi-unit retail/QSR environment.
  • Analyze payment performance data to identify optimization opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and network mandates.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in payments, fraud management, merchant acquiring, financial services, or management consulting.
  • Strong understanding of payment ecosystem participants including card networks, acquirers, and payment processors.
  • Working knowledge of tokenization, 3DS, chargebacks, and fraud rule engines.
  • Experience working in or supporting QSR or multi-unit retail environments, preferably with a franchised model.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technology, operations, finance, and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with payment gateway platforms and omnichannel payment systems.
  • Exposure to global payment regulations and compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, EMV standards).
  • Strong understanding of payment analytics and transaction data interpretation.
  • Experience in high-volume, high-velocity transaction environments.
