We are looking for a Senior Linux Engineer with extensive experience in UNIX/Linux systems to act as a subject matter expert and drive the design, implementation, and optimization of Linux infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in performance tuning, automation, system hardening, and problem-solving in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level engineering, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of Linux systems.
• Develop and automate solutions using Perl, Bash, Python, and similar languages.
• Utilize configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef) and DevOps practices with Ansible and Terraform.
• Manage and optimize package management using RPM tools and system security practices.
• Design technical documentation and workflows with Lucidchart or Visio, and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Collaborate within an Agile/SAFe environment, leveraging Jira for project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/related field or equivalent experience.
• Deep knowledge of Linux Kernel, RPM tools, package management, and system administration.
• Proficiency in scripting, automation, and configuration management.
• Experience with VMware, HashiCorp tools, and security standards (e.g., CIS Workbench).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
