We are seeking a Senior Linux Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise Linux/Unix environments. The role involves system administration, automation, performance tuning, and collaboration with cloud and storage teams to ensure secure and reliable operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Linux/Unix Administration: Manage and troubleshoot Linux services, including DNS, NIS, LDAP, Altair Accelerator, and IBM LSF.
• System Optimization: Perform kernel-level debugging, patching, and performance tuning.
• Automation & Scripting: Automate tasks using Ansible, Python, shell scripting, and Windows PowerShell where required.
• Security & Compliance: Maintain secure systems aligned with CISSP and industry best practices.
• Collaboration: Work with cloud, storage, and DevOps teams for hybrid deployments and infrastructure automation.
• Documentation & Version Control: Maintain technical documentation and version control for installed software and configuration changes.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Linux/Unix administration and system commands.
• Proficiency in shell scripting, Python, and Windows PowerShell.
• Familiarity with Altair Accelerator and IBM LSF workload management.
• Knowledge of kernel tuning, patching, and system performance optimization.
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing hybrid cloud deployments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with programming concepts and automation frameworks.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment.
