Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer to design, secure, and scale enterprise Kubernetes platforms across AWS EKS, Azure AKS, and hybrid environments. The role focuses on platform architecture, GitOps automation, CI/CD engineering, infrastructure as code, security governance, and developer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage scalable Kubernetes platforms across AWS EKS, Azure AKS, and hybrid environments.
• Implement GitOps workflows using Argo CD and automate CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions Runner Controller (ARC).
• Develop progressive delivery strategies, including canary and blue-green deployments, automated rollbacks, and release validation.
• Implement Kubernetes security controls, including RBAC, network policies, Pod Security Standards, and policy-as-code using Kyverno or OPA/Gatekeeper.
• Build reusable Terraform modules, hardened container images, and self-service developer platforms.
• Establish observability, monitoring, SLOs, error budgets, and platform reliability standards.
• Integrate security scanning, automated quality gates, performance testing, and compliance controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Define platform architecture standards, document Architectural Decision Records (ADRs), and mentor engineering teams.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, or platform engineering, including 5+ years in Kubernetes platform engineering.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Azure AKS, Argo CD, GitOps, and GitHub Actions Runner Controller.
• Proficiency in Terraform and infrastructure as code.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes security, cloud networking, ingress controllers, RBAC, and network policies.
• Experience with Kyverno or OPA/Gatekeeper, CI/CD automation, monitoring, and platform reliability.
• Excellent troubleshooting, architecture, documentation, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CKA, CKS, AWS, or Azure certifications.
• Experience with Istio/Linkerd service mesh and Backstage or Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs).
• Experience in enterprise-scale or regulated environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
