Senior Kafka Developer

We are looking for a Senior Kafka Developer with strong experience in designing and developing real-time event-driven applications and data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka. The candidate should have expertise in Kafka architecture, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-based deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Kafka-based streaming solutions.
• Build and manage Kafka producers, consumers, topics, and consumer groups.
• Develop event-driven microservices using Java/Spring Boot.
• Configure, monitor, and optimize Kafka clusters for performance and scalability.
• Implement Kafka security, schema management, and data integration solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, consumer lag, and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and architecture teams.

Required Skills

• 5–10 years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.
• Strong expertise in Kafka, Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and Schema Registry.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Microservices, REST APIs, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Confluent Platform.
• Exposure to Apache Flink or Spark Streaming.
• Kafka certification is a plus.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
