Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop robust backend solutions for eCommerce and merchandising applications in both on-premise and cloud environments.
• Work with designers and product managers to iterate on the design and implementation of product features.
• Collaborate with full-stack engineers to build and deploy features efficiently.
• Identify, implement, and uphold engineering best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Monitor application performance, proactively identify usability issues, and rectify problems related to traffic drops.
• Review application and feature code, plan for future API upgrades, and ensure smooth collaboration within the development team.

Required Experience

• Significant experience with modern libraries and tooling.
• Strong experience with Azure-based technologies.
• Proven experience in building RESTful APIs with a deep understanding of REST principles.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub, Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, Harness, Terraform) and experience in writing unit and integration tests.
• Extensive experience with the Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Security, Persistence, REST, Messaging, Integrations).
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, Postgres, Cosmos, Oracle).
• Experience with messaging architectures and development using Kafka and Azure Event Hub.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and development practices.
• Proficient Java programming skills, with a strong grasp of data structures.
