Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Build and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance applications deployed on OpenShift/Kubernetes in a cloud environment.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with messaging systems like Kafka and MQ.
• Work with both relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and monitor solutions using Splunk.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
• Apply design and architectural patterns to build maintainable and reusable code.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of team processes.
  

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Rest APIs, and Microservices.
• Strong experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Kafka, and MongoDB.
• Solid understanding of Agile development, CI/CD concepts, and version control using Git.
• Familiarity with Ant, Maven, and Gradle build tools.
• Proficiency in writing clean, reusable, and efficient Java code.
• In-depth understanding of JVM internals, concurrency patterns, and performance tuning.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration tools.
• Good knowledge of cloud platforms and scalable application design.
  

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques
• Exposure to message brokers and enterprise integration patterns
