Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize hypervisor code tailored to client ecosystems and real-world use cases.
  • Work with open-source hypervisors (e.g., KVM, Xen) at kernel and firmware levels to build secure and high-performance solutions.
  • Collaborate with the open-source community: contribute code, fix bugs, and drive performance and security improvements.
  • Debug, profile, and tune hypervisor performance for maximum scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate across software, hardware, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and system performance.
  • Participate in architectural discussions, design reviews, and code reviews to ensure high standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in virtualization, hypervisor technologies, and the open-source ecosystem.
  • Modify and integrate open-source code to work within the client’s unique infrastructure and environment.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in open-source software development, with a strong focus on virtualization and hypervisors.
  • Deep technical expertise in kernel-level programming and firmware-level development.
  • Proven experience with open-source hypervisors such as KVM, Xen, etc.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, and Go.
  • Solid understanding of system-level infrastructure and ability to write, analyze, and optimize system software.
  • Experience working in product companies such as VMware, Red Hat, or similar is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working in cross-functional, distributed teams.
