We are looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer with strong expertise in high-speed hardware design, networking products, board bring-up, hardware validation, and failure analysis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing complex hardware systems involving high-speed SERDES, PCIe, DDR5, NVMe, networking interfaces, and complex power architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex hardware solutions for networking and other high-performance products.
- Perform schematic design, component selection, hardware architecture, and design reviews.
- Work with high-speed interfaces including SERDES (>25G), PCIe Gen 5 and above, and associated protocols.
- Design and integrate low-speed interfaces such as SPI, I2C, MDIO, SMBus, and related management interfaces.
- Work with optical interfaces including QSFP, QSFP-DD, and OSFP.
- Design and validate DDR5 and SSD/NVMe PCIe-based interfaces.
- Develop and analyze complex power supply architectures for networking products.
- Use Cadence toolchain for schematic capture, PCB/CAD design, and related hardware development activities.
- Perform board bring-up, hardware debugging, validation, and qualification.
- Conduct detailed hardware failure analysis, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Develop and execute hardware validation and qualification plans based on functional specifications.
- Collaborate with firmware, software, mechanical, thermal, manufacturing, and system engineering teams.
- Support prototype development, design verification, manufacturing, and production issues.
- Document design decisions, test results, failures, root causes, and corrective actions.
Required Technical Skills
- 10–15 years of overall hardware engineering experience, with at least 8+ years designing complex hardware products, preferably networking systems.
- Strong hands-on experience in high-speed hardware design and failure analysis.
- Experience with High-Speed SERDES (>25G).
- Strong knowledge of PCIe Gen 5 or higher.
- Experience with low-speed interfaces:
- Experience with DDR5.
- Experience with SSD/NVMe and PCIe-based interfaces.
- Experience with optical interfaces such as:
- Strong experience with complex power supply design and architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Cadence schematic/CAD tools.
- Experience with board bring-up and hardware validation.
- Strong troubleshooting and hardware failure analysis/root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience testing and qualifying networking products against functional specifications.
