Senior ETL Developer (Talend)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Talend.
• Develop and implement data integration solutions across multiple source and target systems.
• Build and support SOAP and REST web service integrations within Talend.
• Create, optimize, and maintain data transformation jobs for structured and semi-structured data.
• Work with various file formats including JSON, XML, CSV, and flat files.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects as needed.
• Monitor ETL processes, troubleshoot issues, and improve performance.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and development teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to data governance standards.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and documentation.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in ETL development.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Talend Data Integration.
• Strong experience implementing SOAP and REST web services using Talend.
• Solid understanding of relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience developing data transformations using JSON, XML, CSV, and flat file formats.
• Strong SQL programming and database querying skills.
• Experience with version control using Git.
• Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL best practices.
• Exposure to data quality, data governance, and metadata management.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
