Job Description
Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Design and engineer micro-grid scale PV solar systems, and energy storage projects between 5KW and 100KW in size.
  • Provide technical expertise and support in planning and integrating renewable energy resources.
  • Develop and maintain a broad knowledge of existing and emerging technologies for planning and implementing microgrids of the future.
  • Autonomously generate engineering bills of material and quote scope, create CAD schematics and layouts, and provide support for product manufacturing.
  • Use SolidWorks/AutoCAD Electrical and be able to create full schematic packages, panel layouts, and bills of materials adhering to relevant electrical codes and standards.
  • Be a part of the growing systems engineering team developing software and electronics for electrical and thermal power systems.
  • Worked on a wide variety of client projects at various stages of the product development lifecycle.
  • Our fast-paced environment demands the ability to manage multiple projects within various disciplines and deadlines. 
  • Proven ability to work and collaborate in a fast-paced and multi-discipline work environment.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems.
  • 4-7 years experience in solar and/or energy storage commercial industry with micro-grid scale experience a plus
  • SolidWorks or AutoCAD Electrical Drafting.Knowledge of 3 Phase <= 480V power systems and infrastructure.
  • UL508A industrial electrical panel design.
  • Knowledge of power systems and industrial control systems.
  • PLC Automation and basic programming skills.
  • Safety circuit design.
  • Experience with design version control technology such as Git and PDM systems.
  • Previous experience with hardware selection for electrical systems is required, including ICP hardware design, power and control components, sensors, process equipment, networking, instrumentation, automation, and industrial controls.
