We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to leverage advanced programming, mathematical, statistical, and analytical skills to tackle complex business challenges. This role will play a key part in enhancing the company’s understanding and implementation of machine learning models.

Responsibilities

• Transform data into actionable insights using a variety of tools (e.g., Python, GitHub, Spark, R, SQL, Excel, Power BI) to identify and quantify business opportunities.
• Develop and implement machine learning solutions for intricate business problems, examining data and creating use cases to harness AI/ML technologies effectively.
• Produce clear and insightful work products, including visualizations, reports, and presentations, to communicate findings and actionable recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
• Conduct thorough data analysis and research to build studies that significantly enhance the decision-making process across the organization.
• Provide feedback on machine learning solution design and development, effectively communicating the approach and implementation strategies.
• Work autonomously while receiving mentorship from senior team members, utilizing existing frameworks and models for known machine learning use cases.
• Devise innovative algorithmic approaches to solve challenging quantitative problems using large-scale enterprise data sources.

Qualifications/Experience

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 6 years in data science or related fields, with experience in data management and business intelligence.
• At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, including statistical modeling and communication.
• 3+ years in an analytical role focusing on data extraction and analysis.
• Experience in performing advanced statistical analyses, including exploratory data analysis and cluster analysis.
• Proficiency in data science tools and relational databases (e.g., GitHub Actions, Terraform, Docker/Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Apache Spark, Azure (Databricks, Azure ML, Cognitive Services).
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
