Primary Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based data platforms on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses to support banking analytics and reporting.
• Build and manage ETL/ELT workflows for large-scale structured and unstructured financial data.
• Leverage Databricks for advanced data processing, including cluster management, jobs, notebooks, and workspace optimization.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases for financial applications.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation for automated cloud deployments.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges in cloud data platforms.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and data governance policies.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating technical solutions into business value.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Proven expertise in data engineering, including data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in programming languages: Python, Java, or Scala.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms like Databricks (preferred), Snowflake, Redshift, etc.
• Deep knowledge of Databricks architecture, including clusters, jobs, notebooks, and workspaces.
• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for complex cloud and data challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Mandatory: Significant experience in the banking domain, including knowledge of financial data, regulations, and analytics requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale, real-time banking data processing.
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer).
• Prior experience leading data platform projects in financial services.
