Primary Responsibilities

• Create advanced Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models using DAX and Power Query.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver BI solutions that meet business needs.
• Migrate and modernize legacy IBM Cognos reports to Power BI where appropriate.
• Maintain and enhance existing IBM Cognos reports in both development and production environments.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and optimal performance for all reporting solutions.
• Use Power BI Service for sharing, publishing, and collaborating on reports and dashboards.
• Create and optimize SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
• Work with multi-dimensional and relational data structures to support reporting needs.
• Stay up to date with BI best practices, tools, and industry trends to continuously improve solutions.
• Support end-to-end BI project lifecycles, from requirements gathering through to deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Required Experience/Skills

• Proven experience as a Senior BI Developer with extensive hands-on experience in Power BI and IBM Cognos.
• Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and SQL for data modeling, transformation, and reporting.
• Experience migrating reports from Cognos to Power BI.
• Solid understanding of multi-dimensional and relational data structures.
• Expertise in Power BI Service for sharing and collaborating on reports.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in data accuracy and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
