Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with deep experience in building scalable backend systems and a strong modern engineering mindset. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes ownership end-to-end, and actively leverages AI tools to accelerate engineering productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend services using Node.js
• Build and optimize data models and queries using PostgreSQL
• Write efficient, well-structured SQL and ensure high-performance database operations
• Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality features
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
• Work with cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS or Google Cloud Platform) to ensure reliability, scalability, and security
• Set up and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for production services
• Leverage AI tools and workflows to improve development speed, code quality, and system design
• Take ownership of services from design through production and ongoing support

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend software engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js
• Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL and advanced SQL
• Proven experience working with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP preferred)
• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and monitoring tools
• Demonstrated ability to integrate and use AI tools in daily engineering workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
