We’re looking for a senior, self-sufficient data professional with deep AWS QuickSight expertise and healthcare experience. The ideal candidate will own dashboard development, standardize metrics across fragmented data sources, and replace legacy reporting with trusted, repeatable reporting solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build and maintain AWS QuickSight dashboards for healthcare clients.
- Standardize reporting metrics across fragmented datasets, ensuring consistency and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and validate data, proactively identifying gaps or inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure dashboards meet functional needs.
- Potentially mentor junior developers and help define reporting best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Previous work with healthcare data (insurance, hospitals, clinics, etc.). Not limited to Medicaid or Medicare.
- Hands-on experience building dashboards, visualizations, and standardizing metrics; familiarity with migrating from legacy reporting tools.
- Proficiency in MS SQL, Postgres, and Aurora; capable of pulling, shaping, validating, and troubleshooting complex datasets.
- Comfortable working without structured guidance, capable of delivering value quickly and efficiently.
- Experience aligning metrics and KPIs across inconsistent data sources; focus on data consistency and trust.
- Able to clearly explain data concepts and collaborate closely with both business and technical teams.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to support or collaborate with existing Power BI teams.
- Familiarity with transforming data for reporting or supporting data marts.
- Experience standardizing metrics across diverse client data structures.
- Exposure to AWS services beyond QuickSight (S3, Athena, Redshift).
- Interest in defining reporting standards and mentoring junior team members.
