Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for both backend and UI testing, ensuring high test coverage and reliability.
• Conduct testing for ETL jobs, validating data integrity and transformation processes.
• Understand and implement the testing pyramid effectively by balancing unit, integration, acceptance, and end-to-end tests.
• Write clean, maintainable code for test automation and advocate for high-quality coding practices among the development team.
• Design and implement QA practices and plans, ensuring best practices in test execution and implementation across multiple projects.
• Manage test execution sessions, including end-to-end, release, and integration testing. Document test plans, results, and defect reports.
• Work closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to communicate effectively about testing needs, project requirements, and quality concerns.
• Monitor and analyze test results, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
• Utilize tools such as Jira, Zephyr, Confluence, and Bamboo/Jenkins for test management and deployment processes.

Job Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience in enterprise testing, with a minimum of 3 years in automation testing (both backend and UI) and 2 years in testing ETL jobs.
• Strong programming background with proficiency in test automation frameworks and open-source testing tools.
• Full understanding of system, application, and database architecture, as well as knowledge of batch processing, messaging, event sourcing, APIs, and UI applications.
• Good understanding of Scaled Agile methodologies and experience working in agile environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
• Proven experience in designing QA practices and plans, as well as the ability to manage QA teams effectively.
• Proficient in documenting test plans, test results, test evidence, root cause analysis (RCA) reports, and defect reports.
• Ability to work on multiple enterprise-wide projects simultaneously, managing priorities and deadlines effectively.
