We are seeking an experienced SAS Grid Engineer with strong expertise in administering SAS 9.4 in a Linux environment. The role involves managing SAS Grid & LSF, ensuring platform stability, performance tuning, security, and supporting enterprise data connectivity.
Required Skills
- Hands-on administration of SAS 9.4 on Linux
- Strong experience with SAS Grid Manager and LSF
- Experience with SAS Environment Manager and SAS Management Console (SMC)
- Strong knowledge of SAS security and metadata management
- Experience with SAS/Access and RDBMS connectivity (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Teradata)
- Proficiency in Linux commands and system monitoring
- Experience applying hot fixes, upgrades, and add-on components
- Understanding of Base SAS (DATA step) and PROC SQL
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and tune SAS 9.4 and SAS Grid environments
- Configure and manage LSF queues and workload balancing
- Monitor system performance, conduct log analysis, and perform capacity planning
- Manage metadata, users, roles, libraries, and security via SMC
- Apply patches, upgrades, and manage release changes
- Configure SAS/Access connectivity to enterprise databases
- Ensure platform availability, reliability, and compliance with security standards
- Troubleshoot production issues and serve as SAS SME for IT and business teams
