Roles and Responsibilities

• Drive the development of the test strategy and detailed test plans for SAP solution testing, ensuring alignment with project goals and business requirements.
• Execute various levels of testing including unit, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the quality and functionality of SAP applications.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test scripts based on business requirements and functional specifications. This may include workforce test scripts or custom SAP test scripts.
• Identify, report, and track defects throughout the testing cycle. Collaborate with development teams to resolve defects and ensure that fixes meet the required quality standards.
• Maintain detailed test documentation including test cases, test results, and defect reports. Ensure clear communication and transparency of testing progress with stakeholders.
• Participate in or lead the automation of test cases to improve testing efficiency and coverage. Utilize automation tools as required to optimize testing processes.
• Stay current on SAP testing methodologies, best practices, and tools. Provide feedback for process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in testing SAP applications, with an in-depth understanding of SAP modules and end-to-end business processes.
• Experience with automation testing tools and techniques, with the ability to write and maintain automated test scripts for SAP systems.
• Proven ability to design and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Solid skills in requirements gathering and translating business needs into test cases and test scripts.
• Experience in defect reporting, tracking, and collaboration with development teams to resolve issues.
• Familiarity with SAP testing tools, Workforce test scripts, and other test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, Jira).
• Experience in utility industry projects or knowledge of utility business processes is a plus but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
