Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP Commerce Architect to lead architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, high-performance SAP Commerce (Hybris) solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering large-scale digital commerce transformations using modern headless and API-driven architectures.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Define and lead end-to-end architecture for SAP Commerce (Hybris) implementations and site redesign initiatives
- Design and implement headless commerce architectures using SAP Commerce and Spartacus
- Architect and optimize integrations using Content APIs and OCC (OmniCommerce Connect) services
- Drive performance optimization initiatives, including SmartEdit tuning and storefront performance improvements
- Establish scalable, secure, and high-availability architecture patterns
- Lead API strategy and integration with external systems (CMS, ERP, PIM, payment gateways, etc.)
- Oversee DevOps strategy, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment models
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, UX teams, and frontend architects to align functional requirements with technical solutions
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Deep expertise in SAP Commerce architecture and customization
- Strong hands-on experience with Spartacus, headless commerce, and API-first design
- Proven leadership experience in large-scale SAP Commerce site redesigns and digital transformation programs
- Strong understanding of Content APIs, OCC services, and integration patterns
- Demonstrated focus on performance optimization, scalability, and platform stability
- Experience with build management, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices
- Solid understanding of cloud-native deployments and microservices architecture
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge business, UX, frontend design, and backend architecture
