SAP ABAP HANA Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP HANA Consultant with strong expertise in SAP ABAP development, SAP HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, integrating, and deploying SAP solutions while leveraging SAP Joule and BTP capabilities to support clients in their digital transformation and AI adoption journey.

The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and clients to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and drive innovation across SAP environments.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical requirements, use cases, and solution designs.

• Design, develop, test, debug, and deploy SAP ABAP and SAP HANA solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.

• Develop and implement AI-driven solutions using SAP Joule, SAP BTP, and related SAP technologies.

• Support clients in identifying and implementing practical AI use cases within their SAP landscapes.

• Integrate custom ABAP/HANA solutions with existing SAP applications, interfaces, and business processes.

• Develop high-performance and scalable SAP applications using modern ABAP and HANA development practices.

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, testers, architects, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to SAP ABAP, HANA, BTP, integrations, and AI-enabled solutions.

• Optimize SAP applications and business processes using modern SAP technologies and best practices.

• Provide technical guidance and support to clients throughout their SAP modernization and AI adoption journey.

• Mentor junior consultants and team members on ABAP, HANA, BTP, Joule, development standards, and best practices.

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for applications, integrations, configurations, and deployment processes.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, automation, performance optimization, and innovation.

• Stay current with SAP product releases, Joule capabilities, BTP services, AI technologies, and emerging SAP development practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP ABAP development.

• Strong experience with SAP HANA development and optimization.

• Experience with modern ABAP development concepts and object-oriented programming.

• Experience working with SAP BTP and cloud-based SAP solutions.

• Knowledge or hands-on experience with SAP Joule and AI-driven SAP solutions.

• Strong understanding of SAP integration concepts, APIs, interfaces, and enterprise application integration.

• Experience across the complete SDLC, including development, unit testing, integration testing, deployment, and production support.

• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.

• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance-tuning skills.

• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

• Ability to work effectively with distributed and cross-functional teams.

• Experience mentoring junior developers or consultants is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing AI use cases within SAP environments.

• Experience with SAP BTP services and application development.

• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and SAP cloud technologies.

• Experience with SAP APIs, OData, RESTful services, and integration frameworks.

• Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 and modern SAP application architectures.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

• Strong understanding of SAP security, performance, and development best practices.
