We are seeking a Robotics Senior Engineer to support the debugging, assembly, quality assurance, and deployment of advanced robotic systems, including robotic arms and custom-built robotic solutions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure these systems are functional, reliable, and meet our high standards of performance. While you will not be required to develop software from scratch, a deep understanding of robotic operations and troubleshooting is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble robotic systems and ensure mechanical and electrical components are properly connected.
- Debug robotic systems post-assembly, including identifying and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and integration.
- Perform quality assurance testing in both lab and final deployment environments.
- Run and interpret debugging scripts and support field testing (e.g., movement from point A to B).
- Troubleshoot robotic arm functionality, including power supply and communication diagnostics.
- Collaborate closely with other Robotics Engineers to support deployment and integration.
- Assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvements of existing systems.
Requirements
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, with experience in both software and hardware systems.
- Solid understanding of robotic operation principles (training provided on in-house systems).
- Proven ability to assemble and test robotic components.
- Hands-on experience with ROS (Robot Operating System).
- Python scripting experience (preferred).
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment with other engineers.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with significant hands-on experience in system debugging.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with robotic arms and industrial robotic systems.
- Familiarity with deployment and QA processes in a robotics manufacturing or research setting.
- Comfort using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools for hardware debugging.
