We are seeking a skilled RH OpenShift Virtualization Engineer to join our team and manage our OpenShift virtualization environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OpenShift infrastructure and virtualization technologies, with expertise in networking, OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), and virtualization tools. You will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining OpenShift environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and manage OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) environments, including setting up and maintaining clusters, nodes, and networking configurations.
- Implement and manage virtualization solutions within OpenShift, leveraging OCP Virt for deploying and managing virtual machines and containers.
- Design, configure, and maintain networking within OpenShift environments, including network policies, service discovery, and ingress/egress traffic management.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of OpenShift clusters and virtualization components, ensuring high availability and efficient resource utilization.
- Implement and enforce security policies and practices for OpenShift environments, including access controls, vulnerability management, and compliance with industry standards.
- Provide support for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to OpenShift infrastructure, virtualization, and networking.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for OpenShift configurations, virtualization setups, and networking designs. Provide regular reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), including deployment, configuration, and management of OpenShift clusters and virtualization.
- Experience with OpenShift virtualization (OCP Virt) and managing virtual machines and containers in an OpenShift environment.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and configurations, including network policies, service discovery, ingress/egress traffic, and network security within OpenShift.
- Ability to monitor, tune, and optimize the performance of OpenShift environments and virtualization components.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements for OpenShift and virtualization environments.
- Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, setups, and procedures.
