Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform TRP (Total Radiated Power) and TIS (Total Isotropic Sensitivity) tests in anechoic and reverb chambers.
• Measure antenna efficiency, TRP, TIS, and SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) data in the lab as required.
• Conduct Cellular (LTE, 5G NR) and Wi-Fi throughput tests to assess network performance.
• Process, analyze, and plot test data, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
• Create presentations and keynotes summarizing test results and performance assessments.
• Work closely with Apple Designated Responsible Individuals (DRIs) to identify regressions and suggest improvements.
• Assist with debugging and troubleshooting any performance or test issues.
• Use RF test equipment such as VNAs (Vector Network Analyzers), Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, and Base Station Emulators.
• Perform chamber calibration and station validation to ensure accurate measurements.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in measuring TRP/TIS, throughput, and SAR in controlled environments like anechoic or reverb chambers.
• Strong understanding of LTE, 5G NR, and Wi-Fi technologies and their performance characteristics.
• Proficient with VNAs, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, Base Station Emulators, Channel Emulators, and cSAR/DASY systems.
• Basic programming skills for test automation, data processing, and visualization using Python, Matlab, or R.
• Strong debugging and critical problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and identify solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
