Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data architectures tailored to research needs, including data models, schemas, and storage solutions.
• Integrate diverse data sources and ensure effective data management practices, including data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
• Collaborate with research teams to understand data requirements and provide architectural solutions that facilitate research and analysis.
• Optimize data processing and retrieval performance to ensure efficient handling of large datasets used in research
• Establish data governance frameworks and ensure compliance with data security policies and regulations.
• Document data architectures, processes, and standards. Promote best practices for data management within the research environment.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools that enhance data architecture and research capabilities.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• A successful track record as a data engineer with 8 years of experience, with demonstrated expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing in the pharma research space 
• Strong proficiency in SQL, DBT, Python (PySpark), or other relevant programming languages, as well as experience with data visualization tools like Tableau
• Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high-performance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language
• A keen understanding of business processes and objectives, with the ability to identify and address data-related challenges and opportunities
• A passion for solving complex problems, with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing innovative solutions.
