Responsibilities

• Manage the full release lifecycle, including deployment, triage, mitigation, and tool development.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure smooth release processes.
• Evaluate and implement new tools, plugins, and methodologies to enhance the release and triage process.
• Identify and manage risks impacting release scope, schedule, or quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues using Linux systems, networking protocols, and packet capture analysis.
• Develop proactive techniques to detect and address system issues before they escalate.
• Analyze system logs, performance metrics, and error rates to identify patterns, anomalies, and root causes.
• Use error logs, performance metrics, and user feedback to pinpoint underlying issues.
• Design and improve operational tools to optimize system performance.
• Utilize AWS tools (S3, Athena, QuickSight) for data management and visualization.
• Provide valuable insights from data analysis to support decision-making.
• Lead and mentor a small team of engineers, sharing technical expertise and insights with stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in C/C++ and Linux environments.
• Proficient with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Expertise in SCM tools such as Git and GitHub.
• Experience with scripting languages like BASH, Go, or Python.
• Familiarity with embedded systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, etc.
• Knowledge of continuous integration/deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, Concourse).
• Strong background in networking and troubleshooting in embedded systems.
• Experience in Set-top boxes, Broadband Gateways, or Home Security is a plus
