We are seeking a Quality Engineer – Manufacturing with strong hands-on experience in manufacturing environments. The role focuses on identifying, analyzing, and resolving quality issues on the shop floor while driving continuous improvement and defect prevention initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, document, and track defects on the shop floor and correlate issues with previously built units
- Collect, analyze, and communicate non-conformance and quality data effectively
- Perform structured root cause analysis (RCA) using tools such as 5 Whys and Fishbone (Ishikawa) diagrams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and operations to resolve quality issues
- Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on defect prevention, variation reduction, and waste elimination
- Ensure timely closure of quality concerns through effective problem-solving and stakeholder communication
- Engage directly with production teams and actively participate in shop floor activities
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing or quality engineering.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and shop floor operations
- Knowledge of quality tools such as RCA, 5 Why, Fishbone, and basic problem-solving methodologies
- Ability to analyze issues, document findings, and propose practical solutions
- Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders at different levels
- Ability to understand multiple perspectives while analyzing quality issues
- Willingness to work onsite and spend time on the shop floor
