Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute functional test cases and automated scripts to validate software functionality across multiple environments.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Continuously improve automation coverage and reliability, working closely with developers to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Write complex SQL queries to validate data, perform backend testing, and ensure data integrity.
• Experience with Teradata is essential to test data across large databases and ensure that it aligns with business logic and functional requirements.
• Identify, report, and track defects in the test management system.
• Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot issues and provide support during the defect resolution process.
• Work alongside other engineers, developers, and business analysts to understand requirements, share test results, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and traceability.
• Provide comprehensive test reports and metrics to stakeholders.
• Actively participate in discussions on process improvements, automation best practices, and methodologies to enhance the quality assurance processes within the team.

Job Qualifications

• Strong experience in functional testing with the ability to identify and write effective test cases based on business requirements and system specifications.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL to write complex queries for backend verification, database testing, and data validation.
• Hands-on experience with Teradata for data retrieval and manipulation within large-scale database environments.
• In-depth experience working in the financial or banking industry, understanding the regulatory and security requirements that impact software development and testing in these sectors.
• Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Selenium, QTP, Appium, TestComplete, or similar tools.
• Experience in programming/scripting languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript for writing automation scripts.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and experience working in Agile teams.
• Certification from the ASTQB (American Software Testing Qualifications Board) or similar recognized body is highly desirable to demonstrate expertise in software testing principles and practices.
