Primary Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute Python-based test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing of Big Data applications.
• Design, implement, and execute test plans for Big Data systems, utilizing frameworks such as PySpark.
• Perform data validation and verification on data pipelines and transformation processes.
• Work closely with developers, data engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.
• Perform database testing on Oracle and SQL systems, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Perform UNIX/Linux-based system testing, ensuring the reliability and performance of scripts in Unix environments.
• Collaborate in Agile and Waterfall project environments to deliver high-quality results in a timely manner.
• Identify, report, and track software defects using defect tracking tools.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing testing processes, frameworks, and tools.
• Ensure the proper integration of new features with existing systems and data flows.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Quality Analyst roles, with a focus on testing Python-based applications.
• Strong experience with Python in automation and testing frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Big Data tools like Hadoop, Spark, and PySpark.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience in working with Oracle databases and writing complex queries for data validation and testing.
• Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments and command-line tools.
• Familiarity with Tosca (Test Automation Tool) is a plus.
• Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data sets.
