We are seeking an experienced QAD Techno Functional Consultant with strong expertise in QAD EE 2020 to support manufacturing and distribution operations. The role requires deep functional knowledge, hands-on technical capability, and the ability to work closely with customers and offshore development teams to deliver high-quality end-to-end solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to gather and understand functional requirements.
- Document requirements and communicate them clearly to remote/offshore teams.
- Review and validate technical specifications prepared by developers or technical leads.
- Recommend process improvements, alternatives, and best-fit solutions to customers.
- Lead and guide the team to ensure successful and timely solution delivery.
- Participate in solution design discussions and suggest functional and technical improvements.
- Support project planning by providing inputs to project managers on scope, effort, and estimates.
- Guide developers on functional and technical questions during development.
- Review code and recommend changes to ensure quality and alignment with requirements.
Required Technical / Functional Skills
- 6–8 years of experience as a QAD Techno Functional Consultant.
- Strong domain expertise in manufacturing, distribution, shipping, and finance using QAD EE 2020.
- Extensive experience in manufacturing and shipping modules.
- Strong knowledge of discrete orders, scheduled orders, EDI, MRP, RSS, MSW/PSW, and costing.
- Hands-on experience across requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, integration, and end-to-end functional testing.
- Experience with QXtend, QAD Cloud, and 3PL integrations.
- Strong understanding of QAD customization concepts.
- Proficiency in Progress 4GL / OpenEdge and ability to write queries for issue resolution.
- Experience conducting functional and technical analysis sessions and documenting requirements.
- Experience coordinating with remote/offshore development teams to communicate requirements, support development, and ensure quality and timelines.
- Experience with multiple ERP integrations; MuleSoft integration is a plus.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
