We are looking for a skilled QAD Techno-Functional Consultant with strong expertise in QAD ERP systems and hands-on experience in application support and enhancements within an AMS environment. The ideal candidate will have strong functional knowledge across key QAD modules along with technical proficiency in Progress OpenEdge.
Required Technical / Functional Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in QAD ERP, with expertise across multiple modules, preferably including Distribution and Finance, along with good understanding of Manufacturing processes
- Proven experience in QAD Application Management Services (AMS) or similar support engagement models
- Strong experience in Requirement Analysis, Solution Design, Development, and Testing (Unit & Integration Testing) using Progress OpenEdge
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder interaction skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to quickly adapt to new environments, learn business processes, and resolve recurring incidents efficiently
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end support for QAD ERP systems across functional and technical areas
- Work on incident management, service requests, and enhancements in an AMS environment
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions
- Design, develop, and support solutions using Progress OpenEdge
- Perform unit testing and integration testing to ensure quality deliverables
- Collaborate with business users and cross-functional teams for issue resolution and process improvements
- Ensure timely resolution of production issues and recurring incidents with permanent fixes where possible
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of solutions, processes, and changes
Generic Managerial Skills
- Experience in managing and resolving L2 support tickets within SLA timelines
- Ability to prioritize incidents based on business impact and urgency
- Exposure to ITIL-based support processes is an added advantage
