Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain applications for On-Prem systems, ensuring integration with Azure EventHub and Purview APIs to bring in classification information for data sensitivity reporting.
• Leverage Azure technologies such as Azure Functions, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Databricks, Cosmos DB, Data Factory, and EventGrid/EventHub to create robust cloud-based applications and services.
• Work closely with the team to pull classification details from Purview APIs and define custom classifications to meet project-specific needs.
• Write unit tests and optimize applications for speed, scalability, and reliability. Experience with tools like PyTest and UnitTest is essential.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Use Git/Bitbucket for version control and collaboration with the team, ensuring smooth deployment and integration in the development pipeline.
• Strong knowledge of databases (SQL) and streaming services (Kafka) for real-time data processing and integration.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience with Python programming, including:
• Collections, OOP (Object-Oriented Programming)
• Higher-order functions, Pandas, exception handling, multiprocessing, and packaging
• Design and architectural patterns for robust application development
• Hands-on experience with the following Azure services:
• Azure Functions, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Databricks, Cosmos DB, Data Factory
• EventGrid/EventHub (AMQP, Kafka Endpoints)
• Experience with Purview APIs, custom classification setup, and data extraction for reporting needs.

Preferable Skills

• Translate agile storyboards and use cases into functional applications using Python and Azure technologies.
• Strong skills in manual testing and experience with automation testing tools like PyTest and UnitTest.
• Focus on optimizing applications for maximum speed, scalability, and availability.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, understand user requirements, and deliver technical solutions.
• Proficiency in version control systems like Git/Bitbucket for team collaboration and code management.
• Strong knowledge of databases (SQL) and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with Linux command-line operations and real-time data streaming (e.g., Kafka).
