Roles & Responsibilities:

• Straight contract role. Mostly remote but will need to likely go to office one day every other week or so. Must be in DC area and be able to go to Reston office for PI planning a few days in a week once per quarter.
• Needs to have strong Data BG/exp.
• Needs 10+ years of IT exp with at least 5 years in project mgmt with at least 3 years managing projects based around data analytics, data modeling, data migration, data products, data warehousing, big data, cloudera, etc... Data Exchange and Data Products areas are most desired.
• Must have exp managing data projects or a strong BG in data and then moved into project mgmt for the last 5 years.
• Moving towards scaled agile but right now mostly in waterfall. Projects are agile but waterfall at enterprise level.
• Needs Jira and Visio skills
• Needs to have strong budget mgmt exp (3 - 5 million on average). Target is at least 2% margin for projects. Forecasting, resource planning and financial on on-going basis
• 100% matrix environment so needs that exp.
• Healthcare exp is a plus but not required
• Must have PMP or CSM
• New projects coming on in 2024 so they got the budget to hire more PMs to manage the work

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands on experience on Agile practices, Scrum process, Kanban, and waterfall methodology.
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Business, Engineering, or equivalent work experience is required
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is a must.
• Excellent knowledge of Jira, MS Teams, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and MS Visio.
• Strong Financial Management ability including comprehension of project financials, profit and loss and the ability to create and manage and adhere to a broader project budget. , Advanced
• Strong Communication skills both written and verbal, Advanced
• Ability to successfully lead in a matrixed environment, Advanced
• Strong customer skills with internal and external customers.
• Release Management Skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Data Modeling, Data Analysis, Data Migration.
• Candidate must be adaptable and nimble in their approach.
• Must be able to perform assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
• Healthcare experience is a plus.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI Pref
• SAFe Scrum Master Certification Pref
